Helene Oreithyia Koulizaki
Helene - Oreithyia Koulizaki was born in 1982 in Chania, Crete, but she was raised and lived in Piraeus.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Patras, in Philosophy department.
She has great experience (10 years) as a teacher of Ancient Greek Language, Greek Philosophy and Greek Mythology for children, youngsters and adults.
She is the creator of a unique teaching method of Ancient Greek Language for children aged 3-12 years old. (sketching, creative activities, card games, etc ) The aim of her method is to emphasize the continuation of the unified Greek language from the ancient years to the present.
She is the author of the book Etymology with cards addressed to children aged 3-12 years old, which has been approved by the Cyprus’ Ministry of Education.
She visits Public Libraries, Public Schools and other cultural places all over Greece (Corfu, Grevena, Preveza, Patra, Messologgi, etc), in order to share the importance of etymology, Greek mythology and Greek philosophy.
In addition, she created a blog named “Etymologion”, where she shares the etymology of Greek words in themes.
Lastly, she is collaborating with the “Fryktories” web tv, where she is analyzing ancient Greek literature, while she led the content production of web TV programs about historical places in Greece.
